At this point, I had finished the crossover thing, but still had not solved the difficult switch. I had a latching mechanism, but the large marbles couldn't toggle the switch against the pressure of the latch.
I needed a new switch that they could toggle more easily.

The new switch in place. Really happy to have completed this super difficult part of the track. I was a bit worried about it looking like a crude hand gesture, but otherwise, with the extra wood on top, it would be top heavy and fall down flat at all times.
Amazingly, marbles going through the bottom path toggle the switch both ways. I never expected such an awesome result!

With the switch finished, I could continue working on the big ball track that came near that area. I decided not to cover the switch, but to loop around in yet another ice cream spoon spiral.
I wasn't sure if I'd be able to squeeze another large ball track between the toothpick tower and the outer large ball loop, so I decided to try it.

I extended the small ball track which also used ice cream spoons, but in the opposite direction from the large marble spirals.

Had finished placing the entire spiral of ice cream spoons for the large marbles.
The inner large marble spiral has part of its outer barrier in place, just up to where the tight squeeze would require some careful placement of the barrier.
