I had just come from the top of the yama toward which the 30 was pointing. The character to the far right of the sign with "15" looks a lot like a symbol that I associate with JR Railways, so I assumed it meant I'd find a train if I walk 15 units that direction. But I wasn't ready to be done yet, so I walked the 40 / 70 direction.
